Local free speech activists joined thousands nationwide today in
a National Day of Action calling for the resignation of Pacifica
Board Chair Ken Ford.
As part of the campaign, letters and informational materials
linking Ford's actions on the Pacifica Board to union busting,
lockouts, mass arrests, censorship, sexism and race baiting were
distributed at the Building Industry Association of Southern
California in Diamond Bar. Office staff at the BIA refused entry to
the activists. They were instructed, instead, to slide the letter
and brochure under the door. Another action will take place this
afternoon at the BIASC Membership Drive and Mixer at the Sagebrush
Cantina, 23527 Old Calabasas Rd. from 5:30 - 8:00 pm.
