EVERY DAY: Whenever WPFW takes calls, call in and announce the Saturday Forum ("This Sat 6-9 PM, at All Souls Church Unitarian, Amy Goodman and others discuss the Pacifica Crisis ­ corner of Harvard and 16th St. NW")

HOUSING for out-of-town Pacifica activists DESPERATELY needed. If you can put up one or more people FRIDAY and/or SATURDAY night, please email info@pacificacampaign.org and call. Include days, location, number willing to host, phone number. We will confirm by email and phone.

EVERY DAY: Drop In Phone Banking, all day until 9 PM Drop by the office to get the word out by phone, or consider calling people from home. Please call 202-483-0894 for info.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FANNIE MAE AFTERNOON PICKET HAS BEEN CANCELLED IN ORDER TO LEAFLET THE MANDELA EVENT.

Morning Picket at Fannie Mae, to protest Pacifica Board Treasurer Wendell Johns. 8-9 AM 3900 Wisconsin Ave, NW at corner of Rodman and 38th Sts. NW ­ between the National Cathedral and the Tenleytown-AU Metro stop. Metro to Tenleytown, then walk inbound on Wisconsin or take the H4 Metro Bus Towards BROOKLAND, to corner of Wisconsin and Rodman.

(Follow up for extra credit: Walk from Fannie Mae to the Cleveland Park Metro, stopping by for a photo opportunity/miniprotest at the home of Pacifica attorney Greg Craig, of Williams and Connolly, at 3155 Highland Place. Total distance 3/4 mile)

Metro directions: Take GREEN LINE towards GREENBELT. Get off at COLLEGE PARK/UMD METRO. Go outside on the left side to the UMD Shuttle Bus Take the shuttle that says College Park Metro to Campus (red and white bus). It drops you in front of the Stamp Student Union. Walk up the street to Cole Field House or ask anybody around there. (the afternoon Fannie Mae picket was cancelled due to the Mandela leafleting activity.)

WPFW Local Advisory Board Meeting Weds. 7 PM

9-11 AM Democracy Now! in Exile LIVE, via wireless webstream, in front of WPFW/Pacifica, 2390 Champlain St. NW Adams Morgan, between Columbia Rd./Euclid and Kalorama. In conjunction with the DC Independent Media Center, the live webcast of Democracy Now in Exile will be brought to the very people who have chosen to censor this vital program. Join us as we vigil and hear some great live radio!

Free Speech Dance Party 1844 Mintwood, 19th and Biltmore, off Columbia 10:30 PM until, Latin jazz band then DJs, small donation at the door to benefit DC IMC and Pacifica Campaign.

SATURDAY NOV. 17th

PACIFICA BOARD MEETING

All Day. Doubletree Hotel, Directions above. Traditionally closed executive session in the morning, followed by committee meetings. However, at the most recent meeting in March 2001, in Houston, pressure from the public and dissident board members forced a public comment period on Saturday meeting that set the tone for the entire weekend, during which the business if the Board Majority was halted.
