You Are Cordially Invited To World Peace
Miss Joan Marie Moossy
Caroline's Comedy Club

With all the heads of state convening in Manhattan, it was all too apropos to have this film screening to top off the peace-keeping proceedings. This short film was starred in by its producer-director, Miss Joan Marie Moossy. Veteran comedy lovers might remember her cousin, the late Bill Hicks. Comedy must be in the family blood.

Miss Moossy helps her audience to laugh at themselves during this extremely stressful time to Manhattanites. If you are a commuter or resident, you are gritting your teeth during the gridlock and barricades, Miss Moossy offers an excellent antidote for this stress...humor.

The film is basically a spoof cooking show featuring "conflict cuisine." Lox in a Pita, Whiskey Tea, and Southern Fried Sushi are some examples of dishes you could serve at your World Peace Party. Moossy introduced her film with a light, airy commentary about the timeliness of this premiere. She has this "Marilyn Monroe" empty-yet-graceful quality that set the mood for the evening.

During the film, we joined in on the fun of planning her party. is included getting inebriated on the tea and losing a finger while cutting the pita. We actually got to attend this party complete with oddball guests, a musical number, and the eventual bondage of Miss Moossy. This film couldn't have come at a better time. With all the insanity this week, it was refreshing to see that someone had the intelligence to communicate just how silly world politics are.
