why do I miss joannie? let me count the ways…her voice alone launched 1000 ships…deep and rich…and that funny way she pronounces everything… “chuklutte chup cukkies und mulk”! besides that she is so verifiably “downtown” looking…all weird skinny angles, nose and exotic looking eyes all the while being pale as a ghost…the perfect package to take with you on a cold winter’s night when you’re celebrating the victory that Bloomberg hath given you…a $1 apartment in one of new york’s hippest neighborhoods…a few thousand dollars at Pier 1 later and suddenly it’s YOU chuckling as the newly unemployed stockbrokers decamp from alphabet city and back to mommy and daddy’s basement or garage with 1000 pairs of chinos from casual Fridays now long past.
