HEADLINE: Security firm sues radio network for nonpayment
BREACH OF CONTRACT
falls church, va.-based Decision Strategies LLC [DS] has sued Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit radio station owner Pacifica Foundation for nonpayment of more than $200,000 in fees. DS alleges that Pacifica contracted for DS to perform investigative, research and security services in connection with a lawsuit between Pacifica and some of its California listeners.
DS claims that Pacifica made an initial $15,000 payment but failed to make any further payments. The security company brought counts for breach of contract, promissory estoppel, breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing and unjust enrichment, and seeks more than $220,000 in damages plus prejudgment interest.
